&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Funktional Grotesk is with its simple shape, almost unadorned character and nuanced line widths a timeless typeface. Because of its regularity and well-balanced proportions, it is calm and clear in its overall construction. These characteristics allow designers a variety of possibilities, ranging from body to poster-sized text and can be used in almost any context.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Funktional Grotesk follows the tradition of modern grotesques based on functionalism. The main inspiration, however, was the attitude of modernity. This attitude – lived and taught by great masters such as Emil Ruder – strongly influenced the shape of the typeface. His teachings set the foundation on which Funkional Grotesk is built, thus making it a basic tool for any modern day designer.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The six weights and their corresponding italics are available for print, web and app use and cover more than 200 languages.

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Characterized by very graphic letteforms, Plasmaa creates unique and highly recognizable appearances. The combination of cunstructed and visualy corrected letter forms makes Plasmaa a readable headline typeface. The three form-variations/cuts can take on modern, mechanical or even human shapes.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; It's hard to miss that the inspiration for Plasmaa is based on Wim Crouwel's lifetime achievement. Wim Crouwel described his attitude as follows: «Everything must be constructed. However, when the design conflicts with aesthetics, I almost always opt for aesthetics.» This attitude strongly influenced the creation of Plasmaa and formed it into an original typeface.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The three form-variations/cuts are available for print, web and app use and cover more than 200 languages. In the Typografische Systeme catalogue Routine represents – as geometric grotesque – the&#38;nbsp;epitome of modernism.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The approach and main inspiration of&#38;nbsp;Routine was to apply Le Corbusier's architectural attitude – combining geometric and organic forms – to the typeface. The Unité d'Habitation building in Marseille is a particularly successful example of this combination. The visual tension is created by confronting organically&#38;nbsp;designed letters and their geometric counterparts, which leads to a unique overall loo&#38;nbsp;and allows countless possibilities for the designer – ranging from simple body text up to complex identity projects. For the designer who likes it completely geometric there are the classic shapes provided in the alternate glyphs.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; The nine weights and their corresponding italics are available for print, web and app&#38;nbsp;use and cover more than 200 languages. This project is the result of extended research by Davide Rossetto and Simon Zangger.
